I volunteer at my Church as a leader in the Young Women (12-18 year olds) program.  I was asked to make new covers for our leadership folders (it being a new year and all).  This is what I came up with.  Can you tell who it is?...

I am back from the holiday break.  Here are pictures of the "gifts" I made for my extended family.  They are each 8x10 size, and no two are exactly alike.  I even kept one for myself:)

I haven't been slacking, it's just that I woke up a couple months ago with THE PERFECT christmas gift idea for all my family.  All my free time has been spent trying to get it all done.  I am very excited about this... and hope to finish it all TODAY!  However, I will not be posting pictures of these specific works until AFTER the holidays, so as not to spoil the surprise!  We will be joining our family for the holidays and I'm not expecting to get a lot done or posted during the break... so enjoy the Christmas Season.  See you again around the New Year!

"Man of Fire"

This definitely falls into the "abstract" category.  Years ago I made a similar painting of a male torso in fire... and I decided to continue the idea further.  It's fun to experiment every now and then.

Birthday Present

There's nothing like waiting 'till the last minute!  Today is my father-in-law's birthday.  I've been meaning to make this picture for him days ago, but I whipped this puppy (he, he) out this morning.  I'm extremely happy with how it turned out.  I had something much less detailed in mind, but when I get going I want it perfect.  I hope he likes it!

"Indy Dog" (Custom)

Here is a watercolor pencil that I finished today.  It is 7 1/2 x 10.  This is a custom portrait of a beloved pet.  He is such a cutie!

Another favorite of mine(for obvious reasons).  This is a 16 x 20.  Charcoal on paper.  Isn't it beautiful?!  I love drawing the human body... it is a piece of art in and of itself.  This is about as "risque" as I get, though.

"Friendly Smooch"

This piece is a small 6.5 x 9... would look great matted.  It also is a watercolor pencil.  And another favorite of mine.  I can't say how much I love drawing animals, they can be so expressive!  This piece is selling for $15.

Custom Order "Baby Feet"

These are two custom pictures I just finished for a new mother.  The bottom one is not available (for that reason), but the top one is an extra.  The paper is 8x10, although you may want to frame it smaller since there is a lot of blank space around the drawing.  Both are pencil drawings.  This piece is for sale for $20.
